At times there may be unscheduled outting such as trips to the store, emergencies or outtings to the park. Schedules may change at times due to a busy day, special activities, days off school or schedule changes for children. The plus side of being an in-home daycare is I can work around the children's schedules if needed. The children's schedules will always be taken into consideration (naps, feeding, pick-up and drop-off times) We would not want to miss out on a trip to the park!! :) Parents will be notified before or after depending on the situation warranted.
Daily Requirements
Please make sure you send your children fed breakfast and with everything they'll need so they can play and enjoy their day at daycare. We play outside almost every day, so please have them dressed for the weather as well as possible. I like to have extra clothing here for them, just in case, including a warm sweater & water proof shoes. Please avoid laced up shoes unless your child knows how to tie them (I'll help teach around 4-5yrs).
For those in diapers, please just bring me a large supply of diapers and wipes - I'll let you know when I need a re-stock. I do not accept children needing cloth diapers. When children are ready for potty training, parents & I can chat about timing and strategy - I have a numerous trainees under my belt over the years!
Any child with allergies must have benadryl &/or epi-pen in daycare at all times. If they have had a recent allergic reaction, please inform me at drop-off. If your child comes to daycare on any medication PLEASE INFORM ME. It is dangerous to not know if a child has been medicated in any way before having them in care.

Babies (that cannot safely eat hard or unpeeled fruit/veg or any unmanipulated food) parents will be required to supply food, bottles & baby snacks. Please try to keep these cleaner foods. Try to stay away from rice, quinoa, yogurt, soup type foods. Things like banana, avocado leave whole so it will stay fresh. Usually dinner leftovers, scrambled eggs, steamed vegetables, diced fruit, cheese, diced meat, crackers or dry cereal are some good ideas for lunch and snacks. When a baby is warming up, I find that if I am the lady with all their favorite foods it creates a bond of friendship.
Lunch & Snacks
I provide 2 snacks and lunch for children that eat ALL table food. I do not provide breakfast for daycare children, so please ensure that your child is fed and ready for their day. Unfortunately at this time I am not able to offer an alternate menu for children that require special dietary needs. (gluten free, vegetarian, Halal or extreme allergies or sensitivities)
Children that are still drinking from a bottle, homo milk, eating “finger foods”, baby food or requiring special dietary needs will need to be parent provided.
I do make a big effort to feed your child a balanced meal and snacks which consist of a combination of different food groups, which I also teach to the children about. So I do ask that you do not send your child with high sugar foods, gum, candies (especially in the am). These items will need to be set aside and sent home with them at the end of the day. You are more then welcome to send treats for all to share. We all love birthday cake or homemade cookies that you and your child have made for their friends! :)
I'm a good cook (haha) so I rarely get complaints from the kids for what I make them to eat. Our morning snack is usually more breakfast orientated - fruit, p.b toast, granola bar, homemade trail mix, homemade muffins etc. Our lunches vary - p.b sandwiches, meat&cheese, grilled cheese, raw veggies, fruit, mini charcuterie boards, noodles, quesadillas are some ideas. I stay away from boxed foods as they aren't both economical or healthy for them. Afternoon snacks are sometimes similar to morning, including cheese & crackers, cookie & fruit.
