SICK POLICY
I do not accept UN-VACCINATED children in to my daycare.
Flu shots are not mandatory but are appreciated. My entire family does the same to protect your children.

It is in the best interest of everyone that sick children remain at home.
Please also consider keeping sibling monkeys home as with sick sibling to stop the spread! THX
DO NOT MEDICATE YOUR CHILD FOR SICKNESS AND STILL BRING THEM TO DAYCARE.
This not only masks the issues but still shares these germs with their daycare friends, but also, caring for an unknowingly medicated child is dangerous!
If your child requires medication - your child should not attend daycare.
If these symptoms appear during the day you will be called to come and collect your child within 30 mins. or I will start contacting people on the emergency list. I do not pick children up from school when they are sick and also do not provide care when they do not attend school due to illness. If they are too sick/tired to be at school or to partake in our daily activities they are too sick to be at daycare.
I have made changes in my daycare to avoid sickness. I am constantly having the children wash their hands before eating, after playing outside and coming home from school. I do this because I truly care about the health of all the children and the families in Monkeying Around Daycare. If we have no access to soap & water - we will use hand-sanitizer. There is also a hand-sanitizer right at our front door to be used by anyone.
I do follow Regina Health Region Guidelines and therefore any recommendation that the health region gives the schools or daycare will be taken into consideration and alterations to my sick policy may be made temporarily or permanently.
I am proud to say that I ran daycare all the way through the Covid-19 pandemic without ever having a single transmission of Covid-19 in our daycare. With a huge of commitment from families, daycare children, my family and myself we made it through a very scary time and was able to keep everyone safe and healthy. Although our policy and procedures have relaxed a bit... we no longer test daily, mask (unless needed), temp check etc. we are all still fully committed to keeping our children and families healthy as much as we can.
